A rather depressing view of the old Monkland Canal, and the chimneys and cooling tower of the old Pinkston Power Station. By this point, in the early 1960s, what had once been a vital industrial artery for Glasgow had become a wee-choked and litter-filled backwater, home only to wildlife, the odd fisherman, and adventurous teenage drinkers.
